Affiliate disclosure
Short version: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Steady and Safe may take part in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Which links are affiliate links
Product links and "check price" buttons on guides are usually affiliate links. Every page with affiliate links says so in a short note near the top, before the first link, not just here.
Programs this site may join
Amazon Associates, and brand or network programs for bathroom safety, mobility, and surgery-recovery products and medical alert services (for example through the Awin network).
What commissions don't change
- Brands can't pay to be included, ranked higher, or reviewed more kindly.
- If a product has real drawbacks, I say so, even if it pays a commission.
- If a brand ever sends a free product, that page will say so.
- Brands can't pay for a positive review. If I ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labeled on that page.
What I've tested, and what I haven't
I've used a raised toilet seat, a cold therapy ice machine, a walker, and a leg elevation wedge pillow during my own ACL recovery. Unless a guide says otherwise, I haven't tested the products it mentions. Those suggestions come from research: each maker's published specs, safety guidance from trusted health sources, and real buyer reviews. How I choose products.
Prices and availability
Product details, prices, and availability change. Please check the retailer's page for current information before you buy. Using a link never changes the price you pay.
Why this page exists
